Panchakarma:
Pancha- five; Karma- therapeutic measures

Panchakarma is a unique experience that leaves the mind and body feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Many illnesses result from the build-up of toxins in the body that can impair the functioning of its natural defenses. Panchakarma promotes healing and restoration by eliminating these toxins from the body. It is a gentle process that achieves deep cleansing without discomfort, allowing the rejuvenating energies of the body to flow freely.

With the aid of herbal massages, fomentations like steam, oil treatments, Basti (medicated enemas), Virechana (purgation through herbs), Vamana (emesis through herbs), Nasya (nasal administration of oils), Rakhtamoksha (Blood Furification), Panchakarma effectively cures deep seated diseases.

Abhyangam:
This is a full body massage with medicated oils that contain herbs to pacify the unbalanced Vata, Pitta, and Kapha energies and detoxify the body.

Shirobhyangam:
This is an ancient technique of head massage to relieve mental fatigue and stress. The oils used for this massage contain herbs that de-stress the mind.

Swedanam:
This is a treatment that generally follows the full body massage. Excluding the head and neck areas steam containing vapours of detoxifying and balancing herbs is given to the whole body to enable toxic impurities to be expelled via sweat.

Pizichil:
In this treatment, medicated milk is poured onto the body in continuous streams while being gently massaged by four therapists for one hour. It is extremely soothing and relaxing. It acts as a free radical scavenger, toning, strengthening and deeply rejuvenating the whole body.

Podikhizi:
Podikizhi is effective in curing arthritis, paralysis and neuro-muscular diseases. It is mainly done with the powdered roots of twelve herbal plants, are fried together with a little rock salt, crated coconut and lemon juice. The mixture is tied in muslin cloth boluses and heated. It is then soaked in herbal oil to massage the whole body. After that, the patient is given a bath in moderately warm water.
